Change text size

To make web pages easier to read, most browsers allow you to change the size of the whole page, or to change the size of text only.

Change the size of the whole page

Internet Explorer

  1. On the bottom right corner of the browser, click the arrow to the right of the Change Zoom Level button
  2. Choose one of the percentage options
  • If your mouse has a wheel, hold down the CTRL (or COMMAND) key, and then scroll the wheel to zoom in or out.
  • Using your keyboard, press CTRL (or COMMAND) and + or CTRL (or COMMAND) and - to zoom in or out.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the View menu
  2. Ensure Zoom Text Only is not selected
  3. Open the View menu again, choose Zoom In or Zoom Out
  • If your mouse has a wheel, hold down the CTRL (or COMMAND) key, and then scroll the wheel to zoom in or out.
  • Select Reset to return the zoom to the default level

Change the text size

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the View menu
  2. Choose Text Size
  3. Select a text size option.
  • Select Medium to return text to default size

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the View menu
  2. To affect text only, choose Zoom Text Only
  3. Open the View menu again, choose Zoom In or Zoom Out
  • Select Reset to return text to default size
