Parliamentary Secretary for Employment Jason Clare outlines the role of Local Employment Coordinators

The role of the Local Employment Coordinator is very important.

Their job is to work with businesses and job service providers to maximise the impact of the government’s economic stimulus.

To work with councils, regional organisations, employers and training organisations to create local jobs and protect existing jobs in the industry, and to work with all the people here at the jobs forums we’re holding around the country, to build local employment plans, to build the jobs of the future.
